Planet Named Microsoft Public Sector Partner of the Year
Germantown, MD (October 18, 2006) - Planet Technologies has been awarded Microsoft Public Sector Partner of the Year for 2006.
Presented by Microsoft Federal Vice President Curt Kolcun at Microsoft's Executive Partner Summit last week in Scottsdale, Arizona, the award recognizes Planet Technologies for their innovative and exemplary federal customer solutions.
Each year, Microsoft recognizes partners for their work with internal Microsoft teams and clients in several key markets. The Public Sector Partner Award is given to the partner with the most unique use of leading edge technology that provides customers with a solution resulting in the saving of time and cost, while streamlining the process for federal agencies to exchange information.
This is the second award given to the Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in recent months. In August, Planet won a Federal Partner of the Year award for its creation of the Microsoft-based enterprise search appliance, The Prospector.
"As a company with a 100% focus on the successful deployment, architecture and integration of Microsoft technologies, this is our highest honor," said Scott Tucker, CEO for Planet Technologies.
