Planet Technologies Appoints New Strategic Team to Lead Company's Growing International Client Base
December 13, 2005 – (Germantown, MD, USA) – With company revenues in EMEA doubling in the past year, Planet Technologies recently announced a new strategic team located in Europe that will lead all international business for the company.
Erik Bais was named Director of Strategic Business, EMEA and John Brown was named Senior Manager of Strategic Business, EMEA.
This team will lead all Microsoft solution and service opportunities for Planet Technologies within the EMEA sector. Planet, with its eQuest division already a world-wide leading systems integrator for Service Providers, expects to increase value to its existing clients and eventually grow its customer base to additional enterprise markets in EMEA. Bais and Brown, who both reside in Europe, will allow the company to improve existing customer communication and project delivery, and increase its market share in the geography.
Prior to joining Planet, Bais was the CTO of IS Interned Services, the largest Windows based hosting company in the Netherlands. IS was the first in the Netherlands to migrate their complete hosting platform towards Windows 2003 and the first that implemented Hosted Exchange with MPS (with Planet’s Online Consulting support).
Brown, a resident of Nottingham, UK, comes to Planet from PIPEX Communications Ltd., where he helped to define the Product and Project Management processes involved in bringing solutions to market in the short timescales demanded by the hosting business. He was responsible for the introduction of the Hosted Exchange and Windows Shared Hosting product lines.
