Planet Technologies Appoints Microsoft Solutions Expert To Lead Company's Growing Education Client-Base
September 22, 2005 – Germantown, MD – Technologies recently named Ann Mitchell as its new director of educational services.
As part of Planet Technologies’ senior management team, Mitchell will lead all Microsoft solution and service opportunities within the education sector. Mitchell says she will apply the best practices Planet Technologies already offers its federal and enterprise clients while designing new, sophisticated solutions for today’s fast-paced world of education communication.
Mitchell comes to Planet Technologies from Microsoft Corporation, where she helped manage that company’s education partnerships in the mid-Atlantic region and was responsible for expanding the client base in her territory more than 10 percent over previous years.
“Ann’s experience, coupled with Planet Technologies’ history and capabilities in the education field, will provide the technical and business understanding required to deliver complete solutions such as the Learning Gateway and Desktop Deployment initiatives to our clients,” said Steve Winter, vice president of Planet Technologies’ Microsoft Practice. “She has a keen understanding of Microsoft-based solutions as they relate to the world of education.”
A resident of Mechanicsburg, PA, Mitchell has also previously worked for NetComm Solutions, Inc., where she generated more than $2 million in sales for three straight years, rejuvenating the company’s educational and health care solution sales.
