John Brown is the Manager, Cloud Computing and Emerging Technologies at Planet Technologies. John is responsible for leading the organization thought the identification and delivery of product and service solutions in the area of Cloud Computing and other allied and emerging technologies worldwide His former position, Planet's Director of EMEA, has given him the knowledge and experience needed to increase Planet's value to its existing clients and increase its customer base to additional enterprise markets in this region.
Before joining Planet, John worked in the hosting industry for over eight years and has firsthand experience of implementing Microsoft hosting Solutions for Hosted Exchange, Hosted Messaging and Collaboration and Windows-based Hosting. John Brown has extensive experience across the spectrum of Service Provider operations, from technical delivery, hosting architecture design and data-center management through to product management and market positioning.
John's holistic perspective on service delivery is present throughout all of his activities, "My goal is to make sure that not only the right technologies, but also the right solutions are delivered to our customers.". By designing and delivering seminars, workshops and presentations covering all aspects of service delivery and consumption, John promotes an end-to-end view of service delivery.
John is passionate about technology, gaming, motorbikes – riding and formerly racing, movies, music and reading. He resides in England.
