Planet creates Ready To Deploy for Hosted Applications

To assist Service Providers in providing Hosted
Applications to their clients, Planet has created a
Ready To Deploy (RTD) Solution for Hosted
Applications. Planet’s turn-key RTD solution is
designed for new and existing Microsoft Windows
based hosters who wish to provide Software as a
Service - even for applications that are not web
enabled. Hosters can build upon their HMC platform
or build a new Windows based hosting environment.
Planet’s Ready To Deploy Solution is a fixed cost,
fixed time engagement that provides the multi-tenant
infrastructure necessary to provide automated
provision and secure delivery of Applications via
SoftGrid and Terminal Services. The RTD also
provides the flexible platform capable of providing
Hosting services for Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint
and CRM to allow for a very dynamic catalog of
hosting services and offerings.

Planet Assists HMC 4.0 Early Adopters

Planet Technologies is engaged with Microsoft as an
early adopter deployment partner for HMC 4.0.
Planet's services are available for service providers
who would like to accelerate their technical readiness
and preparations in support of HMC 4.0 and Exchange
2007 hosting. Available services include architecture
planning, proof-of-concept deployments, Ready to

Planet Assists Microsoft and Rackforce with Virtual Server Offering

RackForce wanted to expand market opportunities in
virtualization and software as a service with products
featuring broader access to co-technologies and
greater market stability than its Linux-focused
offerings.
The company worked with Microsoft to
develop new products based on Microsoft Virtual
Server 2005 R2. Microsoft partnered with Planet to
develop the specifications and code that fully
automated Rackforce's provisioning of virtual and
physical machines. In addition, Planet worked on-site
in validating the final deliverable.
As a result, RackForce and its customers have
enjoyed benefits in revenue, scalability, accessibility,

Change in Daylight Savings Time Impact to your Systems

This year as a result of Congress' Energy Policy Act,
Daylight Savings Time will start three weeks earlier
(2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in March) and will
end one week later (2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in
November) than what had traditionally occurred.
The change in Daylight Savings Time will have an
