Planet Creates Solution to Support Live@EDU
Microsoft has introduced Windows Live@edu which
provides higher education institutions with a suite of
FREE hosted communications services for students,
alumni and applicants. The Windows Live@edu
program brings email – with your institutions own
domain name, massive mailbox sizes and bonuses
such as blogging and instant messaging services –
to colleges and universities around the world.
Effective implementation of your Windows Live@edu
deployment can be a time-consuming and difficult
task. To assist with this program, Planet has
created Ready to Deploy Live@edu, a fixed
time and fixed price solution to get institutions up and
running in weeks. Our solution is built leveraging
Microsoft’s Identity Integration Server (MIIS) to
synchronize student account information between
Active Directory and Windows Live. When new
